I am thrilled to announce that my new short REMISSION just won Rhode Island International Film Festival's 2010 HORROR FILM AWARD! Congratulations to the cast and crew!
I had a fantastic time at Palm Springs International Shortfest in June, where I met amazing filmmakers and industry folks. REMISSION screened for 500 folks, and having them all scream at once was VERY satisfying - and then I showed the film! (Thank you, here all week...)
This weekend REMISSION screened at Rhode Island International Film Festival and North Carolina Gay & Lesbian Film Festival concurrently. Unfortunately I couldn't make any of the screenings, but the reports have been positive.
I am looking forward to some festivals this fall - including Rhode Island Horror Film Festival - and hoping this new award slips the film into the "accepted" pile of several fests still making decisions!
